Vanguard Compass is built upon an uncompromising Offline-First & Zero-Telemetry architectural foundation. We believe that tactical navigation data and personal location telemetry should remain 100% private to the operator.

• Location Data: Your GPS, GNSS coordinates, waypoints, and breadcrumb tracks are processed exclusively in real-time in your device's local memory and encrypted SQLite database. They are NEVER uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any remote server.
• Camera / Flashlight: Camera hardware access is utilized strictly for triggering the LED flash for torch, variable strobe, and optical SOS signaling. No images or video feeds are captured or recorded.
• Advertising & Third Parties: The free tier of the app uses Google AdMob to deliver rewarded video ads. AdMob may process non-personally identifiable device identifiers according to Google's standard Privacy Policy. Upgrading to Lifetime Operator Pro permanently disables all ads and third-party network calls.
• No User Profiling: We do not operate user accounts, cloud authentication, or tracking cookies.

Vanguard Compass is designed as a high-precision digital situational awareness aid for outdoor recreation, fieldwork, and general orientation.

• NOT FOR PRIMARY AVIATION OR MARITIME LIFE-SAFETY NAVIGATION: Electronic compass sensors can be affected by magnetic interference, structural steel, or battery depletion. Always carry a physical magnetic compass and paper topographic maps when entering remote wilderness or backcountry terrain.
• Limitation of Liability: In no event shall the developer or Vanguard Compass be held liable for navigational errors, lost routes, or damages resulting from reliance on electronic sensor calculations.
